Usuful Print Screen Software for Windows
Do you ever use Windows print screen feature? For those who don’t know, windows comes with a print screen feature. This tool is used by pressing the “PrtScn” button on the keyboard above the “Insert” button. You can grab images from the Internet that are copy protected, or take shots (pictures) of your desktop to show your work.
When you press this button you copy what is on the screen to the clipboard (memory). To view this image you must open any graphics program and paste it. Then you save it as a jpg, gif, png or whatever format works best for you.
This is a very useful and convenient tool except… when you use this tool too often, for example, if you are putting together tutorials, the task of opening a graphics program and pasting, saving, and naming, over and over again can get frustrating. This is why I use Gadwin Printscreen.
Gadwin Printscreen is free software from Gadwin Systems Inc. They also have a pro version with more features but for me the free version works perfect.
This software allows you to print the entire screen or single window. You can choose from six different formats to save to. You can select which folder to save the images to. You can even have Gadwin Screenprint send the screen shot in an e-mail for you.
The screen shot above is of the setting control panel. You only have to configure the settings once. Then you just press the Print Screen button and use them. Below is a screen shots of me writing this post.

Enjoy.
How to download Bit Torrents
Bit Torrent refers to a peer to peer file sharing protocol. By the way peer just means basically someone like you. You might be familiar with peer to peer file sharing clients like Limewire, Kaaza, Morpheus, and others. The basic idea of how most of these clients work is that when you search for a file (song, video, etc.) it locates it in a peer’s computer. When you download it, you are actually downloading it from someone’s computer. If this one person shuts down hers/his computer you have to wait until they are back online to finish downloading the file(s). This can take a very long time, specially if they are not online often and or their internet connection is slow.
The difference of using torrents is this. If I just made a video and want to share it with the world, I create a torrent file from it. When someone starts to download it they automatically start sharing it too. It doesn’t matter if they have not finished downloading the entire file. When a third person searches and downloads the file they will gets bits from me and bits from the second person at the same time. This method makes the download faster and more accessible. The more people that download the file the faster it becomes.
Even though some of the clients I mentioned earlier support the bit torrent protocol, there are clients that are dedicated specifically to this. My favorite is the original one, the Bit Torrent client. Its free, open source, lightweight, and fast. Download your free copy of the Bit Torrent client.
So how do you find what you want to download? Its very easy, in the Bit Torrent client itself there is a search field. You can also use one of hundreds of sites dedicated to indexing torrents. my favorite is The Pirate Bay www.thepiratebay.org but there are many more. Other include BT Junkie, Bush Torrent, Torrentz, Mini Nova, and others.
The good part, how to…
- Download Bit Torrent Client and install it if you haven’t done so yet.

- Point your browser to any of the Torrent sites listed above.

- Search for something to download
- Once you find what you are searching for and click on the download link, you will get a window asking you to confirm the download. Here you can select the files in the torrent you want to download.
- At this point just wait for your download to finish and when its done leave the program open so you can share (seed). You can track the progress of the file and you can also see how much you have shared.
That’s it. Post any question in the comments here.
How To Get Your Own Blog Free
I’ll start off by briefly explaining what a blog is. A blog is simply a website where you write about anything that interests you. You can write about a special interest, family, politics, your company, or anything else. Your imagination is the limit.
You will have an audience. Your audience depends on the type of content as well as the quality of the content. Another major factor for having a growing audience is blogging often. People want to see new things when they visit your blog.
In a blog, people can comment on your post. If you post a “how-to tutorial”, people can give you feedback in the comments section. A really nice feature that WordPress offers is the ability to completely enable and disable comments in each individual post. This is useful if you write a recipe for example, and you don’t want people commenting about how they make it. You get the idea.
So lets get to the good part, how to get a blog. Just visit www.wordpress.com and sign up for a free blog. Fill out your information, choose a theme for your blog and start typing.
If you do get a blog, please post a link to it in the comment section of this post. It will bring traffic to your blog. The more traffic the better. On a later post I will show you how to profit from your blog. Yes you can make money from keeping a good blog.
What about search engines? Your WordPress blog will be automatically be indexed in Google and other major search engines that crawl the web (I will explain all of this in future posts. Keep reading). When people search for terms that are contained in your posts, your blog will appear in the search results.
